Curriculum Vitae |
Sofia Panagiotidou was born in 1977 in Kozani. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia, Greece. She has obtained a Diploma (five-year degree) in Mechanical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Management of Production Systems and a Ph.D. in Maintenance and Statistical Quality Control from the same university. She has worked as a Post Doc researcher in Erasmus University of Rotterdam and as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia, in the Department of Production and Management Engineering at the Demokritus University of Thrace and in the Department of Operations Management at the University of Macedonia. Her work has been published in a variety of journals, including Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics and others. Her main research interests are in the area of Statistical Quality Control, Maintenance and Inventory Control. |
